Learn to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat of 20 to 27 feet in length by day in light to moderate winds (up to 15 knots) and with light to moderate sea conditions. Knowledge of basic sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship, and safety including basic navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards. Auxiliary power operation is not required.
Class runs TWO consecutive days from 9:00am to 6:00pm, on both days.

Classes start at noon on day one and end at noon on day 5. You will take both the 103 and 104 sailing courses during your sail. There will be one instructor and a maximum of four students. As this is an overnight class, you may be sharing a stateroom with a person of the same gender or the person you signed up with if you paid the double-occupancy price. This class includes: two textbooks, two online lectures, ASA certifications, provisioning, and five days of instruction. Transportation to and from Anacortes Cap Sante Marina is not included. An airporter shuttle from SeaTac drops you off near the marina.

Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing, Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering and Coastal Navigation, Advanced Coastal Cruising, and Celestial Navigation certification.
